I grew up in Sarasota, Florida where I attended not only Sarasota High School but also the Ringling College of Art & Design. After graduation in 1989 I interned at Walt Disney Feature Animation studios in Glendale, California on “The Little Mermaid”. After 5 months with Disney I brought my talents to the U.S. Army and Ft. Campbell, KY. I was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and served as illustrator for nearly 4 years. After leaving the Army my journey continued to South Florida and Nitelite Studios where I worked on motion graphics for commercials and music videos. Tampa Bay called once again and I was off to work as staff illustrator for a corporate training outfit called Paradigm Learning. That brief stop lasted only a year as I went freelance for a year until I returned to Disney Animation with the film Mulan. I spent 7 years with the mouse working on Mulan, The Emperor’s New Groove, Tarzan, The Little Match girl, John Henry, Lilo & Stitch, and finally Brother Bear. Disney’s animation studio in Florida was shut down in 2003 and my family moved to Riverview, Florida where I now work as a freelance illustrator. I have illustrated 5 children’s books including the Airport Mouse series, I have also illustrated several iPad apps including the Mixed Up Wacky Zoo and am proud to say that I am the official illustrator of Stuff, mascot of the Orlando Magic.
